“Wounded Warrior Support Foundation” Has Successfully Passed the First Audit and Received the Certificate of Charitable Organization from Revenue Service
“Wounded Warrior Support Foundation” extends its profound gratitude to everyone, who contributed to the activities of the fund. The mentioned status releases the foundation from the income tax liability based on Georgian legislation. The amounts will be fully utilized for the charitable purposes for the benefit of beneficiaries. This will enable the foundation to further expand the scale of its activities.
Silknet established “Wounded Warrior Support Foundation” in summer 2018. The purpose of the foundation is to help the wounded veterans and military servicemen and women, who participated in different wars for the territorial integrity of Georgia and the international peaceful missions. The activities cover health, education and adaptability needs for the beneficiaries. Silknet addressed business and society to unite efforts for the sake of this important activity. This year Silknet almost tripled the contribution, making it 320 000 GEL instead of 120 000 GEL.
On the second year of the fund’s activities, contribution had much increased from the society. More individuals and organizations, as well as different diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia made their input to the foundation. At the early period of the fund’s establishment, Silknet committed to issuing periodic transparent reporting of its charitable activities and being open to society.
“Wounded Warrior Support Foundation” did not suspend its activities during the pandemic as well and in the meantime, accomplished tax and financial audit of the fund. The purpose of the audit was to verify that all the activities made by the foundation since its establishment were correct and transparent, directly correlating with the criteria declared by the foundation. As a result, “Wounded Warrior Support Foundation” established by Silknet has been officially certified as charitable organization by the Revenue Service on April 14.
