On September 19, Lisi Lake hosted the fourth annual charity run dedicated to supporting wounded military personnel and the raised amount was donated to Wounded Warrior Support Foundation. The Wounded Warrior Support Foundation was founded in 2018 by Silknet to care for the heroic defenders of the homeland and their families. Ambassadors, diplomats, and military attachés actively participate in the Foundation's initiatives.
Established on the initiative of the Tbilisi Defense Attaché Association (TDAA), this year's sporting event was exceptionally large-scale and well-attended compared to previous years. The main sponsor of the event was Silknet, with organization led by the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, the LEPL Defence Volunteer, the Tbilisi Defense Attaché Association (TDAA) and the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation.
The event was supported by TKT.GE, Lisi Lake, Trail Lab, Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace, Mogzauri and Garmin.
Georgian military personnel, wounded and injured service members, volunteer organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, their families, children, and other supporters joined the run.
Participants could choose between three routes: a 3 km fun run, a 7 km medium trial and a 21.1 km half marathon.
The female and male winners (1st–3rd places) of the 7 km and 21.1 km distance races received prizes provided specially for them by the run's supporters: Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace, Garmin, Gino Paradise, and Mogzauri. Mogzauri also established prizes in a special category for the volunteers who actively assisted the organizers during the marathon. For the fourth year now, the Lisi Lake administration has provided its venue for this sporting event free of charge. Additionally, TKT.GE transfers the full amount collected from registrations—without deducting any service fees—directly to the "Wounded Warrior Support Foundation," while the company TrailLab provides its services to organize the race in compliance with all standard specifications at no cost.
Registered via TKT.ge with a registration fee of 50 GEL, each participant received a branded t-shirt and a commemorative medal. around 15,000 GEL was raised and fully transferred to the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation's account.
