2022 Activity Results and Traditional Pre-New Year Charity Gala
Traditional pre–New Year charity gala dinner was held on December 21. The event was attended by representatives from Ministry of Defense and State Service of Veterans Affairs, wounded warriors, diplomatic corpus: ambassadors and military attaches, as well as NATO Liaison office and ODC representatives, business sector and different representatives of society.
Founder of WWSF, George Ramishvili and General Director, David Mamulaishvili presented results of 2022 and future plans of the fund.
During 2022 661K Lari was spent for the needs of wounded military servicemen and veterans, as well as their underage children. This amount was raised from Silknet’s yearly commitment plus donations made by companies and individuals. As a result, 53 wounded warriors were financed. 17 veterans and 36 military servicemen got assistance for the following needs: urgent surgeries, medical treatment, provision with medications, rehabilitation courses, adapting of living area for persons in a wheelchair, learning courses as well as similar needs of their underage children. According to the decision of management, foundation will start supporting spouses of wounded warriors from the next year too.
Fundraising started already during the event. Different companies and individuals donated for the WWSF activities in the next year.
